Master Bath Linen Closet Overhaul

Organizing your master bathroom linen closet can be a bit daunting. At least for me, it was. I really wanted to maximize the space and make everything easily accessible. Linen closets aren't just for linen, folks. As you'll see below, I use our linen closet to store everything from towels to hair extensions. Yep, hair extensions!

Here's what the closet looked like before. Not a mess by any means, but it needed a little pick me up. I edited out our clothes hampers at the bottom to spare ya'll!

The first thing I did was sketch out how I wanted to organize the space. This may seem like a lot, but I promise that it helps in the long run. I decided that I wanted to designate space for bathroom cleaning supplies, my personal products, bath linen, back stock, and medicine.

After that, I took measurements and figured out what organization products I needed to purchase and what I could re-use. I decided to keep the four white baskets you see at the bottom and nix the turntables and green bins (I'll re-use these somewhere else). More below on what I purchased and re-used.

Once I had all of my products on hand (and actually found time to tackle this project...so thankful my little one tends to take long naps), I removed everything from the closet. I threw away things that clearly needed to go, and then I sorted everything into categories.

Here's the finished product.

Top Shelf Details

I re-used this drawer and these containers for my feminine products and cotton balls and Q-tips.

This Lazy Susan used to hold my nail polishes, etc. I decided to use it for cleaning products instead. Here, I keep my DIY All Purpose Cleaner, microfiber cloths, sponges, and trash bags.

I wasn't kidding when I mentioned hair extensions. This drawer holds everything from clip-ins to braiding hair.

Second Shelf Details

I found this Nail Polish Riser at the Container Store, and I used it to store nail polish and essential oils. Behind the riser are two Tall Smart Store Inserts that I used to store my lotion and nail care accessories like Emory Boards and polish remover.

I picked up these stacking drawers from Amazon. This is where I house all of our back stock that I divided into six categories. Easy access. I also love that I'll be able to tell when supply is low.

The third shelf holds our towels, washcloths, bath mats, and hand towels. Nothing exciting there!

Fourth Shelf Details

I re-used these baskets I already had on hand.

Dividing medicines into groups helps with easy access.

I used these small and medium inserts to help contain items within the baskets.

I hope seeing how I organized my master bath linen closet inspires you to tackle your own project. Happy Organizing!

Is that a chalk marker you used for labeling? If yes, brilliant! I never thought about that.

It was either a chalk marker or sharpie pen. I use both. ☺️
